Capt Jim Baird has been recognized for his years of service to TWU557, receiving an award presented by Jose Garza, TWU National Representative. The acrylic plaque reads in part “In Recognition of your Dedicated Service to the Membership of the Transport Workers Union of America AFL-CIO”.
The award noted Jim’s service as Vice-President and President of TWU557 over the past six years, through March of 2024. Jim was also central to negotiating our current contract which was ratified near the end of 2022 and became effective January 1, 2023.
